Obituary of Jacob Goldberg

JACOB GOLDBERG ROSCOE FORMELY OF FALLSBURG, NY Jacob Goldberg, a retired NY City Police officer and longtime area resident, died on Sunday, November 06, 2005 at Catskill Regional Medical Center. He was 83. Jacob was born in Brooklyn, NY on May 29, 1922 the son of the late David and Celia Berkowitz Goldberg. He was a World War II Army Air Corps veteran. He is survived by his two sons: Alvin Leibowitz and his wife Kathy of Washingtonville and David Goldberg and his wife Barbara of Pembroke Pines, Fl, and his three daughters; Diane King of Monticello, Ruth Charnow of NJ and Arlene Morin of NC. He is also survived by his eleven grandchildren; Lee and Erin Goldberg, Ashley and Corey King, Alexandra Charnow, Casey, Ariel and Blaze Leibowitz, Sandy Felder, Angelina Morin and Shannon Stancu-Goldberg, and his two great grand-daughters; Bryana and Liam Leibowitz Jacob was predeceased by his wife Lillian Roulston Goldberg and was also predeceased by his two brothers and his two sisters. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, November 8, 2005 at 11am at the Joseph N. Garlick Funeral Home Inc. 388 Broadway Monticello, NY. Rabbi Marvin Goldman will officiate. Burial will be in the Sullivan County Veterans cemetery, Sunset Lake Rd. Liberty, NY.
