Obituary of Renee Jacobs

Renee Jacobs Of Hallendale Beach, FL-Formerly of Kerhonkson, NY February 17, 1916-June 24, 2013 97 years old Renee Jacobs, a multi generation resident of the greater Kerhonkson area, and a devoted family woman, died at her home in Hallendale Beach, Florida on June 24, 2013. She was 97. The daughter of the late Louis Kitia and Anna Katz Kitia, She was born on February 17, 1916 in New York City. Renee spent her life working in the resort industry, at the Colonial Hotel serving countless of guests as a caterer. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Harry Jacobs, and her brother Phil Kitia. Renee was a devoted and loving mother to Elaine B. Rubin and Melvin Schonfeld, a loving and devoted grandmother to Steven, Jeffrey, Scott, Andrew, and Deena, as well as an adored great-grandmother to Hunter, Ashley, Carter, and Rachael. Funeral services for Renee will be held on Thursday, June 27, at 2:00pm at the Congregation Anshe Tzaydik Synagogue, 186 Canal Street, Ellenville, NY. Burial will follow in the Synagogue Cemetery in Wawarsing. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Joseph N. Garlick Funeral Home of Ellenville
