Ray Brown Pavloff, beloved wife, mother and grandmother, a retired Claims Examiner for the New York State Department of Labor, passed away on June 30, 2013.
Ray was a lifetime member of Hadassah, and member of Congregation Anschei Hurleyville.
The daughter of the late Jacob and Bessie Norensky, she was born on February 20, 1930 in Brooklyn, NY. She was predeceased by first husband, Harold Brown in 1952, and more recently siblings: Estelle Rodkin and Danny Norensky, both of Massapequa Long Island prior to their retirement in Florida.
Before her work for the State of New York, Ray, with second husband, Oscar owned and operated Sheik and Chic apparel stores located in Woodridge and South Fallsburg New York.
Survivors include her husband, Oscar; daughter, Hollie of Atlanta, GA; son, Josh and granddaughters: Michelle and Allison of Trumbull Connecticut.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. at Congregation Anschei Hurleyville, Monday, July 1st, followed by burial at the Hurleyville Synagogue Cemetery.
