I grew up in South Fallsburg
and how well I remember when
Ester and Sidney had their
store--They had the best egg
creams and ice cream sodas you
could get, along with all of
the great halvah and other
candy. We always got our local
daily newspaper at their store
and I always bought things
there as well. I also remember the wooden Indian that stood right outside their
door at the store and it was
quite the conversation piece.
The memories of their store
for me are as vivid as re-living yesteryear all over again in the Catskills during
the Hotel Heyday. I will always remember their store
and them. Esther,may your new
eternal life be one of many
special and pleasant memories
for you and for Sidney as well. Please give him my very
best when you see him and the
same for you,too. LaChaim and
Shalom. With Love and Many
Catskill Memories, Arlene LaPinsky Morris

Dear Laura, I was so sorry to hear of your mother's passing. I liked your parents so much. What a wonderful gift to have had her as long as you did.
I would love to have you contact me. I have only been to 2 reunions. I finally found Carolyn in 2001, under similiar circumstances as this. You and Carolyn hold a special place in my heart. I hope we can reestablish the friendship we once had.
