Obituary of Phoebe Bowden Goldberg

Phoebe Bowden Goldberg Formerly of Ellenville, New York June 6, 1925-November 8, 2013 Phoebe Bowden Goldberg, a former insurance salesperson and longtime resident of the area, died in the early morning hours at the Glen Arden Health Care Center in Goshen, New York. She was 88. The daughter of the late Samuel Kramer and Minnie Rogow Kramer, Phoebe was born in Ellenville on June 6, 1925. She received her degree from the Becker College in Worchester, MA, in the field of journalism, for which she was extremely proud of. Phoebe was exceedingly loved and liked by all in the community and by whomever had the great pleasure of knowing her. She is survived by her loving husband of 30 years, Robert Goldberg, of Goshen; her son, Jeffrey Bowden, of Middletown; and her 3 grandchildren, Daniel Bowden, Les Bowden, and Leah Bowden, all of Middletown. In addition to her parents, Phoebe was predeceased by Donald Bowden, her first husband, and her daughter Hedy Bowden. Graveside services will be held on Sunday, November 10, 2013 at 1:00pm, at the Congregation Anshe Tzaydak Cemetery, Route 209, in Wawarsing.
