Obituary of Louis Kaplan

Louis Kaplan Of The Villages, FL and Formerly Parksville, NY April 22, 1918-February 14, 2014 95 years old Louis Kaplan passed away peacefully on February 14, 2014 in Lady Lake, FL. He was born to the late Fannie and Sam Kaplan in New York City on April 22, 1918. Louis was married to the late Dorothy Novasel Kaplan. Labe was a Kosher butcher in the Catskill mountains. He is survived by his daughter, Joyce Schroeder and her husband Irwin, and his son Joel Kaplan and his wife Sharon. He has a surving sister and brother, Lena Schwartzman and David Kaplan as well as several nieces and nephews. Louis was predeceased by his brothers Beryl Kaplan and Irving Kaplan and his sister Libby Fleishman. Labe had a contagious smile and a sunny disposition. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him. Graveside services will be held on Thursday, February 20, at 11:00am at the Parksville Synagogue Cemetery, Old Lilly Pond Road, Parksville. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Joseph N. Garlick Funeral Home of Monticello.
