Obituary of Bernard Lasher

BERNARD LASHER APRIL 23, 1925-APRIL 8, 2014 MONTICELLO, NY Bernard Lasher, a retired US Postal Clerk working in the Monticello Post Office for 30 years, and a lifetime resident of Monticello, died on Tuesday, April 8, 2014 in Catskill Regional Medical Center, Harris, NY. He was 88. Bernie was born in New York City on April 23, 1925 the son of Charles and Gussie Samuels Lasher. He was a World War II Marine Corps Veteran serving in combat in the Marianas. He is survived by his son Gary Lasher and his wife Diane of Monticello, his grandchildren; Kathleen and Joseph, and several nieces, and cousins. He was predeceased by his wife Kathleen Pelton Lasher in 1989; and his brother Solomon. Graveside funeral services with military honors will be held today, Thursday, April 10, 2014 at 1:30pm at Rock Ridge Cemetery, located on corner of Broadway and Rock Ridge Avenue in Monticello.
