ALEXANDER SHEINER
SOUTH FALLSBURG, NY
Alexander Sheiner, a longtime resident of South Fallsburg, and the widower of Carol Sheiner, passed away on June 7, 2005 at Elante at Goshen after a long illness. He was 82.
Al was born on May 13, 1923 in Brooklyn, NY the son of Lena and Hyman Sheiner. As a Captain of the Raleigh Hotel Dining Room for more than 50 years, Al touched many lives.
He is survived by two sons; Keith Sheiner of Thompsonville, NY and Robert Sheiner and his wife, Alicia of Henderson, Nevada, his daughter; Jacqueline Leventoff and her husband, Robert of South Fallsburg. He also leaves eight grandchildren; Mikal Sheiner, Jesse Sheiner, Matthew Sheiner, Christina Sheiner, Alex Sheiner, Deacon Sheiner, Carly Leventoff and Brittany Leventoff.
Al was predeceased by one son Brad Sheiner of South Fallsburg in 1995.
A family statement reads; Al was a good and decent man who cared for all people.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, June 9, 2005 at 11am in the Joseph N. Garlick Funeral Home Inc. 388 Broadway Monticello. Burial will be in the Workman Circle #281 Cemetery in Glen Wild.
Memorial contributions in memory of Al may be made to the Sullivan County Chamber of Commerce Foundation.
