Obituary of Bert Wankoff

BERT WANKOFF MIDDLETOWN, NY Bert Wankoff, a retired City of New York Supervisor for Social Services, entered into eternally rest on Monday, August 08, 2005 at Orange Regional Medical Center Horton Campus. He was 60. Bert was born in the Bronx on March 22, 1945 the son of Abraham and Lillian Wankoff. He was a lifetime fan of the New York Yankees, and was a member of the Happy Seniors and Walkill Seniors. He is survived by his loving wife of 32 years Marcia at home, his daughter Cheryl Dorn and her husband Scott of Rock Hill, his son; Douglas Carmel and his wife Christine of Indiana, and his seven grandchildren: Samantha and Jordan Dorn, Samuel, David, Moriah, Lilly and Gloria Carmel. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, August 10, 2005 at 10:30am at the Joseph N. Garlick Funeral Home Inc. 388 Broadway Monticello, NY. Burial will be in Beth-El cemetery Paramus, NJ. Shiva will be observed at the home of Cheryl and Scott Dorn in Rock Hill on Thursday afternoon and evening and Friday until noon. Funeral arrangements by Joseph N. Garlick Funeral Home Inc.
