Obituary of Jason Ari Feinstein
Monticello, NY
Jason Feinstein, a life-long Sullivan County resident passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, April 7, 2021 at home. He was 33. The son of Michael Feinstein and the late Debbie Lynn Stratton, Jason was born on July 8, 1987 in Harris, NY. He attended and graduated from Monticello High School and went on to complete his education at both SUNY Albany and Sanford Brown Institute.
Jason was an extremely talented individual, who had a heart bigger than himself. He always shared his passion for helping people with the world. He was employed as Echocardiography Specialist for Mount Sinai Doctors in New York City where he actively enjoyed his job and undoubtedly saved several lives. Jay was an avid fisherman, snowboarder and loved spending time on the water and outdoors. The world lost a good one…..
Survivors include his father; Michael Feinstein and his wife Peggy, brother; Jeffrey Feinstein, grandmothers; Marilyn Feinstein and Mary Stratton, uncles; Alan Feinstein and his wife Nancy, Robert Stratton and James Stratton, step-brothers; Matthew and Dustin Thomas, step-sister; Shannon Thomas, as well as many cousins. Jason is further survived by his beloved dog; Murphy.
Jason was predeceased by his mother; Debbie Stratton, grandfathers; Irving Feinstein and Bob Stratton as well as his cousin Adam Feinstein.
The family will receive friends from 10:00am to 11:00am on Sunday, April 11, 2021 at the Joseph N. Garlick Funeral Home, 388 Broadway, Monticello, NY 12701. Due to the current pandemic and large number of expected attendees, only 50 people will be permitted indoors at a time. We kindly ask that you pay your respects and continue out to allow others time with the family. A graveside funeral service will follow at 11:30am at the Temple Shalom Synagogue Cemetery, South Woods Road, Monticello, NY.
