Obituary of Rosemary Heins

Monticelllo, NY

Rosemary Heins, a resident of Monticello, NY passed away on Saturday, May 29, 2021 at the age of 94. The daughter of the late Fred and Bertha McFadden, Rosemary was born in Wilkes Barre, PA and spent much of her life caring for others as a nurse.

Rosemary was beloved for her adventurous spirit, quick wit and exuberant personality that lived up to the signature red hair she donned for much of her life. She had a passion for travel, jewelry, fine wine, and Judaism, but loved nothing more than being the matriarch of a loving close-knit family.

She is survived by her sons; Kenny and David (Stacy); daughter, Kathy; sister Patsy; brothers, Bobby and Donald; seven grandchildren, Joey, Justin, Jenna, Becky, Erica, Amy and Haley. Three great-grandchildren, Alexis, James and Joey who will always remember her as ‘nanny.’

She is preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth, son, Kevin; second husband Marty Deitsch; and brother Fred.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 2, 2021 at 11:00am at the Joseph N. Garlick Funeral Home, 388 Broadway, Monticello, NY 12701. Burial will immediately follow in the family plot at the Rock Ridge Cemetery, East Broadway and Rock Ridge Avenue, Monticello.
