Obituary of Marton Slatus

MARTON SLATUS WURTSBORO, NY Marton Slatus, a retired School Teacher for the New York City Public Schools in Forest Hills, NY, died on Tuesday, June 27, 2006, in Orange Regional Medical Center Horton Campus, Middletown, NY. He was 82. Marton was born on September 17, 1923 in Brooklyn, NY the son of Nathan and Ida Divack Slatus. He was a World War II Army veteran. He is survived by his wife Erma at home, his daughter; Lisa Justus and her husband Robert of Wurtsboro, his son; Gary Slatus and his wife Shelley of Mass, and his three grandchildren; Jennifer, Kathryn and Arielle. He was predeceased by his brother Louis. Graveside funeral services will be held on Thursday, June 29, 2006 at 10am in Temple Sholom Cemetery South woods Dr. Monticello, NY. Rabbi Michele Medwin will officiate.
