Obituary of Rubin Jancko

Wurtsboro, NY

Rubin Jancko passed away peacefully at Garnet Hospital in Middletown on December 30, 2021. He was 91.

Ruby served his country during the Korean War as a Navy medic/corpsman on the USS. Van Valkenburgh DD-656.  After the war, he returned to Sullivan County and continued working as a carpenter until he retired.

The youngest of 4 children, he was pre-deceased by his siblings Paul, Jack, and Edith, and wife Stephanie.

He is survived by his children, Robert Jancko, Mona Ingber, Ellen Jancko-Baken, and Nikki (Jancko) Mackiel, her husband Tom, and Granddaughter Brittany. 

A graveside funeral service will take place on Sunday, January 2, 2022 at 11:00am at the Workman Circle # 610 Cemetery, Old Thompson Road, Monticello, NY with Rabbi Hillel Grossman officiating.
