Obituary of Martin Heller

Martin J. Heller, the former owner of the Florida Pharmacy for more than 50 years, and a long-time resident of the area, died Tuesday, November 1, 2005 in Goshen at the Elant Facility. He was 86. The son of the late Bernard and Rose Goldberg Heller, Martin was born on December 28, 1918 in New Jersey. Martin was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving during World War II in England. He was an avid golfer. He is survived by his sons: Edward and his wife, Patti, of Somers, N.Y., Donald and his wife, Maureen, of West Nyack, N.Y. and Kenneth and his wife, Coby, of Westford, Mass.; five grandchildren: Jeffrey, Zoe, Brad, Scott and Sam; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife, Belle Blanes Heller and his brothers, Arthur and Robert Heller. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, November 4, 2005 at 10 a.m. at the Temple Beth Sholom Synagogue in Florida, N.Y., with Rabbi R. Shinder officiating. Burial will follow at the Temple Beth Sholom Cemetery in Florida, N.Y
