Obituary of Dorothea Albert

Monticello, NY

Dorothea “Dottie” Albert, a lifelong resident of Monticello, NY, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, September 22, 2022, at the Westchester Medical Center. She was 76. The daughter of the late Morris and Sylvia Shklar Zarin, Dorothea was born on December 30, 1945, in Monticello NY.

Survivors include one daughter; Kim Hanushek, son-in-law Phil Hanushek and four grandchildren: Brody, Joshua, Alexis & Noel Hanushek all of Fort Mill, SC.

Dottie was an avid walker so most people in Monticello have probably seen her walking down Broadway. When she was younger, she enjoyed spending summers at the S&M Bungalow Colony in White Lake, which her parents owned.

A graveside service will take place on Thursday, September 29, 2022, at 10:00am at the Workmen's Circle #610 Cemetery, Thompsonville Road, Monticello, NY.
