Obituary of Gloria Massa Rothstein

Summitville, NY

Gloria Massa Rothstein, a long-time resident of Summitville, NY passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 16, 2023, at her daughter’s home in Nyack, NY. She was 97 years old. 

Gloria is survived by her son and daughter, David and Claudia, her daughter-in-law Sandra, her beautiful granddaughter Olivia, her son-in-law Frank, her sister Ruby Mintz and her children Howard, Jeff, and Laura. Gloria was born and raised in Brookline, Massachusetts by her parents Saul and Lillian Copellman.

Gloria was a known singer and entertainer throughout the Catskills and Florida, and a long-time community activist for social justice.  Her biggest joy in life was living in the Catskills and spending time with her many friends and family. “With a twinkle in her eye, Mom showed love and compassion to everyone around her”.

A graveside funeral service will be held on Thursday, February 23, 2023, at 1:00pm at the Wurtsboro Hebrew Cemetery, Route 209 in Wurtsboro.
