Obituary of Elaine Klugman
ELAINE KLUGMAN
PARKSVILLE, NY
Elaine Klugman, a longtime resident of Parksville and the widow of Aaron Klugman, the former owner and pharmacist of the Liberty Pharmacy, died on Thursday, July 27, 2005 at Catskill Regional Medical Center Harris. She was 93.
Elaine was born in Ellicott, Maryland on August 2, 1911 the daughter of Samuel and Molly Weinstein Lafayette.
She was a longtime member and Past President of the Sisterhood of Ahavath Israel Synagogue in Liberty; she was a Life member of Hadassah, a member of the Garden Club of Liberty, one of the founding members of the Catskill Regional Hospital Auxiliary, and one of the founding members of Maimonides Hospital Auxiliary.
Elaine is survived by her daughter; Mary Klugman of Parksville, her two sons; Nathan Klugman of Parksville, Lewis M. Klugman and his wife Rachelle of Parksville, and Loving Bubbie to her two grandchildren: Michael Klugman and his wife Kristin and Michele Klugman Resnick, and her three great grandchildren: Mara Resnick, Jonathan Resnick and Olivia Klugman.
She was predeceased by her daughter Sara Klugman and her two Brothers Murray and Albert Lafayette, and her tow sisters Sally Schwartz and Rosalie Wahrhaftig.
Funeral services will be held today, Friday, July 28, 2005 at 2pm in Ahavath Israel Synagogue Chestnut Street Liberty, NY. Rabbi Marvin Goldman will officiate. Burial will be in Ahavath Israel Cemetery Hy-San-Na Road Liberty, NY.
