STEVEN HOWARD WAND
PEMBROKE PINES, FLORIDA
Steven Wand, a longtime resident of Monticello died at his home in Pembroke Pines, Florida on September 25, 2005 with his family by side. He was 58.
Steven was born and raised in Monticello, NY on August 28, 1947 the son of the Abraham and Gussie Deutsch Wand. He moved to Florida in 1981and began his journey as a successful business owner. Steve always worked hard and was a great leader and an all around terrific guy. All the people that knew him will miss his great smile. His favorite hobby was watching the Greatest of all times Mohammad Ali. Boxing always thrilled Steve. He was an avid fan for many years. Another one of his passions was his 1969 Cadillac Coupe Deville convertible; he showed that car with pride and joy at every car show. He always will be the light of our lives.
He is survived by his loving and devoted wife Ilene (Leeny), his most beautiful and precious daughter Kara (K) and his brothers; Carl, Paul, and Robert and his sister-in-law Marsha and his nieces; Samara and Sylvie, most special nephew Jordan and his nephew Michael.
Funeral services will be held today Wednesday, September 28, 2005 at 3pm in the Joseph N. Garlick Funeral Home Inc. 388 Broadway Monticello, NY. Rabbi Ben Zion Chanowitz will officiate. Burial will be in the Landfield Ave Synagogue Cemetery Thompson Road Monticello.
