Condolences to Adrienne Austin and her siblings on the death of your beloved mother. When I was your English teacher in Monticello many years ago and visited your home, both of your parents were so welcoming and friendly. I see from the obituary that your mother was wonderful to lots of other people too.

Memories, there are so many, but like it says above, certainly food is one of them, and good chat another. She was the star pie maker and always had some special peach plum pie for me. That was both of our favorite. Barbara always made me feel at home in her house, the kitchen table was the meeting place where everyone sat to chat. It was a warm and special place and growing up there brought me many memories, and those memories will never be lost. Barb and Ken will always be in my thoughts, and I love their children, who have managed to inherit all the wonderful qualities of mom and dad.
