Obituary of Melissa Silverman

Melissa Silverman Mongaup Valley NY Melissa Silverman of Mongaup Valley, NY, passed away suddenly from an Aortic Dissection on Saturday, May 5, 2007. When someone passes on, it is often said that the world is a sadder place. But that statement was never more, true than the day Melissa left our world. From the time she was a child, Melissa embraced everything she did, and everyone she knew with her entire being; and loved with her entire heart and soul. Everything she did was with such incredible passion, from her family to her friends, and goodness knows to her beloved animals. Melissa was co-owner and operator of Silverman Mechanical Corp. in Mongaup Valley. She was born in Portland Maine on August 2, 1953, and a long time resident of Sullivan County. She was an adored Wife to Steven Silverman for 32 years, proud mother of Mandi and Paul Bromberg, Haley and Kara Silverman and Grandmother of two wonderful Grandchildren Sedona and Bryce Bromberg. Sister to Richard and Ida Newman, Keith Newman and fianc Laurie, Delbert Bryant, Joann and Dick Wright, Bradley Swan, Stuart and Vivian Silverman; Her in-laws David and Florence Silverman, as well as a beloved Aunt, Cousin, and Friend to so many, whom will all sadly miss her forever. Among the many things we will all miss about her is her laugh, which was so contagious; we couldnt help but laugh with her most of the time. She was predeceased by, her loving parents Harry and Ruth Newman, birth mother Dorothy Swan, and Siblings, Caroline Wilcox Taylor, Wayne Wilcox, Marian Wilcox, and Marie Mayo. Memorial Services will be held at Joseph N. Garlick Funeral Home 388 Broadway Monticello New York, on Wednesday May 9, 2007 at 3 pm. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the A.S.P.C.A. or the American Heart Association.
