Obituary of Helen Solomon

HELEN BELLE SOLOMON LIBERTY, NY Helen Belle Solomon, the widow of Abraham Solomon she was a homemaker and resident of Liberty, died on Thursday, May 10, 2007 in the Skilled Nursing Unit of Catskill Regional Medical Center, Harris. She was 92. Helen was born on March 22, 1915 in New York City the daughter of Harry and Fanny Fefferblum. She lived in Flushing and Brooklyn until moving to Liberty, which she enjoyed residing there for many years. She was predeceased by her Son and Daughter-In-Law; Stephen and Nancy Solomon of Woodbourne, NY, and by her best friend and Sister, Shirley Levine. She is survived by her daughter, Judith Gold and her husband, Raymond of South Fallsburg, NY, and her six grandchildren; Lawrence Gold, Mark Gold, Dr. Brian Gold and his wife, Paige, Robyn Gold Wright and her husband Douglas, Darcy Solomon Halper and her husband Lester, Jeffrey Solomon and his wife Gina, several great-grandchildren her brother Jules Feffe and wife Elaine and several nieces and nephews. Helen also leaves behind her many friends, wonderful nurses and aides at the Skilled Nursing Unit of Catskill Regional Medical Center. The family wishes to acknowledge the late Dr. J. Arthur Riesenberg for the wonderful care she received from him as well as the care of Dr. Jonathan Weiss and from the staff of the Skilled Nursing Unit at CRMC including the activity department it was exceptional. Private family graveside services will take place on 11am on Sunday, May 13, 2007 at the Old Montefiore Cemetery, St. Albans, NY.
