Obituary of Joan White

Burlington, VT - Formerly of Kiamesha Lake, NY

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joan White on Wednesday, May 31, 2023 in Burlington, VT.   Born on December 19, 1930, Joan grew up in the Bronx, and lived most of her adult life in Kiamesha Lake, NY, with her beloved husband Howard. They eventually relocated to Boynton Beach, FL in the 1990s. In 2020 she moved to Vermont to be near family.

She is survived by her children Steven and Suzanne White of Mongaup Valley, NY, Richard White of South Burlington, VT and Betsyann Baron of Montreal, Que. and Riva White of Manhattan, NY, niece Debra Rovitz and her husband Steve, Andrea Winarick and family, as well as grandchildren Nat, Tyler, and Logan and their families, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews, and grand nieces and nephews. 

A funeral service will be held on Sunday, June 4, 2023, at 2:00pm at the Joseph N. Garlick Funeral Home, 388 Broadway, Monticello, NY 12701. Interment will immediately follow in the family plot at the Landfield Avenue Synagogue Cemetery, Old Thompson Road, Monticello.
