Obituary of Beatrice Bloom

Beatrice Bloom Kiamesha Lake, NY Beatrice Bloom of Delray Beach, Fla., and Kiamesha Lake, NY, died Monday, February 4, with her loving family at her side. She was born in Brooklyn to Charles Kolodny and Rose Berman Kolodny, and was a graduate of Brooklyn College. She was a registered nurse and was, for a time, the nurse at the Concord Resort Hotel in Kiamesha Lake. A loving and devoted mother, sister and wife, she was the widow of the late Dr. Bernard Bloom. A family statement said: She always put her family first. In a disposable society, she was made of cast iron. She is survived by her children, Charles Bloom and his wife, Wendy Bloom of Palm Beach, Fla., and Joshua Bloom of New York, N.Y.; and two grandsons. Graveside funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 7, at the Landfield Avenue Synagogue Cemetery on Thompson Road in Monticello. Rabbi Irving Goodman will officiate.
