Obituary of Yetta Lippen

Yetta Lippen, 91 South Fallsburg, NY October 2, 1916 July 12, 2008 Yetta Lippen of South Fallsburg, a retired bookkeeper for Mountain Candy, died Saturday, July 12, 2008 at the Catskill Regional Medical Center-Skilled Nursing Unit in Harris. She was 91. The daughter of the late William & Sarah Hanzman Weintraub, she was born October 2, 1916 in Brooklyn. Yetta was a member of Hadassah and the Fallsburg Senior Citizens. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She lived wonderful 91 years and will be missed by all. Her family would also like to thank the caregivers at the Skilled Nursing Unit at CRMC for the outstanding care given to our Yetta. She is survived by a son: Steve Lippen & his wife Jessica of South Fallsburg; a granddaughter: Jamie Lippen of South Fallsburg; a sister: Marilyn Ferto of Queens; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband: Joseph Lippen; a granddaughter: Elissa Lippen; and two brothers: Julie Weintraub and Charles Weintraub. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, July 14 at 12:00 noon at the Joseph N. Garlick Funeral Home, 388 Broadway in Monticello with Rabbi Yakov Barros officiating. Burial will follow at the Workman Circle #281 Cemetery in Glen Wild. Memorial contributions can be made to the Elissa Lippen Matthew Helm Scholarship Fund, 115 Brickman Rd. Fallsburg, NY 12733.
