David Wasserlauf, 89 White Lake, NY December 11, 1919 - January 15, 2009 David Wasserlauf of White Lake died Thursday, January 15, 2009 in West Palm Beach, FL. He was 89. Born December 11, 1919 in Swan Lake, NY, he was the son of Harry and Dora (Halpern) Wasserlauf. David was a veteran of World War II, a poultry farmer and a carpenter. He was a resident of White Lake, a charter member of the Bethel Ambulance Corp., a volunteer White Lake Fireman and served as president of Temple Beth-El in Kauneonga Lake. David is survived by his wife, Mildred; his three children, Frances (Louis) Abilock, Harold, and Robert (Karen); and his five grandchildren Tanya, Devani, Jessica, Daniel and Zoe. David Wasserlauf was an inspiration and a role model for everyone fortunate to know him. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, January 18 at 1:00pm at the Joseph N. Garlick Funeral Home, 388 Broadway in Monticello with Rabbi Marvin Goldman officiating. Burial will follow at the Congregation Beth-El Cemetery in Bethel. Memorial contributions can be made to the White Lake Fire Co. or to the Congregation Temple Beth-El in Kauneonga Lake. Arrangements are under the direction of the Joseph N.
