Contributions to the tribute of Eugene David Nesin

Eugene Nesin served on the Monticello Central School District's Board of Education member and was a community servant in many aspects. Mr. Nesin, who was a devoted father and husband, served on the BOE for 33 years volunteering countless hours for the betterment of the district and its students. It is a terrible loss for our schools and our community. He will be greatly missed. I echo these statements and I would like to let you know that I am hoping to fill the seat that is now left vacant in his absence. His shoes will not be easy to fill. I know that he cared very much about the things he represented and I hope that if I do get on the BOE I will make him proud. If there is anything you would like to know about me or would like to say that would help fulfill Mr. Nesin's aspirations - please contact me. What a shock to learn of Genes passing. Our thoughts of Gene go way back to when we first began breeding and showing our dogs many, many years ago I know I used to enjoy the conversations we shared. He proudly displayed our wins along the way knowing his kennel had groomed our dogs. Our heart felt sympathy goes out to Ellen and the children. Gene will be sadly missed but always remembered.

my dad was my rock he saw me through good and real bad and never gave up on me he taught me so much and every day i struggle to get out of bed i miss him it hurts good bye for now dad

I wasn't fortunate enough to have met Mr. Nesin. I do, however, know his wonderful daughter, Beth. Mr Nesin must have been a very caring, helpful and loving man, as children are a reflection of their parents and Beth is most certainly all of those. I wish the Nesin Family peace and comfort.
