Obituary of Ann Feinberg

Ann Feinberg June 29, 1926- July 5, 2009 Ann Feinberg of Kerhonkson, N.Y. and Delray, Florida, died Sunday, July 5, 2009 at The Mountain View Nursing Center in New Paltz, N.Y. She recently celebrated her 83rd birthday surrounded by family and friends. She was born on June 29, 1926 in Brooklyn, N.Y., the daughter of the late Louis and Rae Mishkin. Ann was a co-founder, with her husband Henry, of the family business Kerhonkson Tire Service. She was active in the business from its inception in 1960 until her retirement in 1982. She was an active member of her local community serving for several years on the Kerhonkson- Accord First Aid Squad. She was a driving force in the establishment of the Napanoch Senior Community Center and a longtime member of the Ellenville/Kerhonkson/Accord Jewish Seniors Organization. Ann was a lifetime member of Hadassah. In addition to her parents, Ann was predeceased by her husband Henry in 1979 and brother Bernard in 1986. She is survived by her six children and their families: Corinne of Kerhonkson, Jay and wife Jane of Kerhonkson, Van and wife Melissa of Kerhonkson, Burt of New Jersey, Steven and wife Lisa of Pine Bush and Amy Halvorsen and husband Anders of Virginia. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren, Alan Feinberg and wife LaDonna, Laura Feinberg, Adam, Marc and Jason Feinberg, Emily Feinberg, Ari, Ava and Adam Halvorsen, and 2 great grandchildren, McKenna Feinberg, Vanessa Nelson. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, July 7 at 11:00 a.m. at Ezrath Israel Synagogue in Ellenville, N.Y. followed by burial in the Kerhonkson Synagogue Cemetery on Boice Mill Rd. in Kerhonkson, N.Y. At the completion of services, family and friends are invited to the Kerhonkson Synagogue Jewish Center on Minnewaska Trail for celebration of her life.
