Obituary of Rose Schwartz

Rose Schwartz May 1, 1904-July 7, 2009 Rose Schwartz, a home maker and life long resident of South Fallsburg, died Tuesday, July 7, 2009 at the Catskill Regional Medical Center, she was 105 years old. The daughter of the late Abraham Pantel and Mollie Edelstein Pantel, Rose was born May 1, 1904 in Paterson, NJ. She was a member of the South Fallsburg Senior Citizens, member of Hadassah, and served as a nurses aide during World War II. She is survived by her Son Dr. Daniel H. Schwartz of South Fallsburg; 3 grand children, Dr. Darryll Schwartz, of New Jersey, Dr. Marlin Schwartz, of New Paltz, and Ivan Miles Schwartz, of Kingston; 3 great grand children, Susana Schwartz, of Sherburne, NY, Dr. Anna Isabelle Schwartz, of El Paso, TX, and Jana Visconti, of Long Island; and one great great grand child. Rose was predeceased by her husband Lowis Schwartz and her loving son, Stanley Schwartz. Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, July 8, 2009 at 2:00pm at the Temple Sholom Cemetery, South Woods Road in Monticello, with Cantor Mike Sturm officiating.
