My grandmother, Rose Beck Gordon, was Alfred's Aunt. I was too young to remember a lot but my Dad, Stuart, and Alfred were cousins. My husband and I stopped by Liberty probably 8-9 years ago and had a very nice visit with Alfred. He was very gracious and We were able to find out a lot about the family.

My thoughts are with the Beck family. Jack Coughlin and I celebrated Al's 90th birthday in Rock Hill. Both men will always have a place in my heart. They are surely missed.

I wish to send my condolences to the Beck family. I grew up at 57 Dwyer Ave. and knew Mr.Beck from our occasional greetings as I was quite young,,,but I was aware of the respect he had in the community. His passing reminds me of an era gone by. Whenever I do visit Liberty I always remind myself that 'that is the Beck house'. My dearly departed parents are Lee and Leonard Baumann. Fondly, Stanley Baumann

Patti Dorfman posted a condolence
Over the past 7 years, Alfred (known as "Alfredo" to Andi, and "Big Al" to Rachel), had become a very large part of our family. After the passing of their spouses, Alfred and my Mother, Arlene Schwartz, found a wonderful companionship, and took care of each other. They travelled, dined, and had a lot of laughs. They brought out the best in each other, and it was a pleasure to see my mother (and Alfred) so content late in life. We will miss Alfred DEARLY. Rest in Peace. Lovingly, Patti, Hy, Rachel and Andi Dorfman
