Obituary of Michael Murry Weiss

Michael M. Weiss October 29, 1923-November 9, 2010 Of Walker Valley, NY Michael Murry Weiss, a former retailer at the General Sportwear Store in Ellenville, and lifelong resident of the area, died Monday, November 9, 2010 at the Orange Regional Medical Center in Middletown. He was 87. The son of the late Charles and Rosie Cohen Weiss, Michael was born on October 29, 1923 in Walden, New York. He was a proud veteran of the United States Army serving in World War II. Michael was a member of the Veteran's of Foreign Wars, The Jewish War Veteran's, and the American Legion. He is survived by his beloved son, Kalman Weiss, and his wife, Lynette, of Walker Valley; his niece, Diane Weiss, of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; his sister-in-law, Rose Weiss, of Ellenville,; and his cousin, Murray Weiss, and his wife Pat, of Yonkers. Graveside services with military honors will be held today, Thursday, November 11, 2010 at 11:00am at the Ezrath Israel Synagogue Cemetery, on Route 209 in Wawarsing, with Rabbi M. Frank officiating.
