Helen and I were best friends since the age of 4. We started 1st grade together and continued to walk to and from school each day until we graduated in 1949. Through the years we acknowledged each other's birthdays and visited on the phone several times a year. We last saw each other about 5 years ago. I will miss her, she was a dear friend.
