Obituary of Charlotte Mortman Schwartz Miller

Charlotte Miller of Woodridge, NY and Delray Beach, FL passed away on February 16, 2015 at the John Knox Village Care Center in Pompano Beach, FL. She was 94 years old. The daughter of the late Abraham and Rachel Mortman, Charlotte was born on November 29, 1920 and raised in Woodridge, NY. Charlotte was the owner and operator of Mortman’s Bakery in Woodridge with her husband, Eli Al Schwartz, who died in 1975 after 32 years of marriage. Charlotte retired to Kings Point in Delray Beach, FL where she and her husband Dan enjoyed golf and traveling. Charlotte volunteered at WeCare in Kings Point and enjoyed painting ceramics. Although she was very active in Florida, Charlotte always talked about Woodridge and loved spending time in the Catskill Mountains. Charlotte is survived by her husband of 35 years, Daniel Miller of Monticello, NY, her three daughters Suzanne Glucksman (Barry) of Warwick, RI, Beverly Paige of Monticello, NY and Mindy Schwartz (Howard) of Coral Springs, FL, Martin Miller (Lauren) of Monticello, NY, Marsha Miller (Carl Goldstein) of Berkeley Heights, NJ, twelve grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. A funeral service will take place on Sunday, February 22, 2015 at 12 noon at Joseph N. Garlick Funeral Home Inc, 388 Broadway, Monticello, NY 12701 with Rabbi Michele Brand Medwin officiating.
