Obituary of Sylvia Greene

Sylvia Greene of Monticello, former bookkeeper for Davco Stores and the Hamilton Avenue Hospital, died Saturday, November 14, 2015. She was 99 years old. The daughter of Annie and Manus Davidoff, she was born June 14, 1916 in Fallsburg, New York. Survivors include one daughter and son in law, Karen and Mark Drutz of Staten Island, NY , two sons and daughters in law, Richard and Helene Greene of Boynton Beach, FL and Martin and Monica Greene of Suffern, NY; one brother, Abraham Davidoff of Monticello and one sister, Sarah Naimer of Scottsdale, AZ. She is survived by six grandchildren: Natalie Lefkowitz and her husband, Jared, Amanda Hufnagel and her husband, David, Lynne Curbelo and her husband, Joseph, Daryl Greene and his wife, Marin, Adam Greene and his wife, Jennifer and Nicole Barrato and her husband, Gregg. She is also survived by nine great-grandchildren: Julia Curbelo, Samantha and Lily Hufnagel, Shelby and Spencer Greene, Max and Skye Lefkowitz, Brody Greene and Cole Barrato. Funeral services will be held at 12 p.m., Friday, November 20 at the Landfield Ave. Synagogue Cemetery, Old Thompsonville Road, Monticello, NY. Rabbi Yakov Barros will officiate.
