Obituary of Peggy Rita Brown

Peggy Rita Brown of Monroe Township, N.J., a retired realtor in Middlesex County, passed away on Monday, February 1, 2016, at her home surrounded by her three devoted children. She was 84 years old. The daughter of the late Morris and Leah Lauber, she was born in Brooklyn, New York, on December 6, 1931. Survivors include her son, Eric Brown, and his wife, Elisa, of Edison, N.J.; her daughter, Arlen Sam Brown, of Lambertville, N.J.; her daughter and son-in-law, Pamela Brown and Stan Crock of Bethesda, MD.; her brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Michael and Katie Brown of Glen Head, N.Y.; her adoring grandchildren, Harrison and his wife Chelsea, Zachary, Gregory, Russell, Meryl, Sydney, and Spencer; her great-grandson Aiden; and her loving nieces and nephews. Mrs. Brown is pre-deceased by her husband, Burt Brown, and her sister and brother-in-law Florence and George Friedberg. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday February 3, 2016 at 2:00PM at the Joseph N. Garlick Funeral Home Inc, 388 Broadway, Monticello, NY 12701 with Rabbi Ben Zion Chanowitz officiating. Burial will follow in the family plot at the Landfield Avenue Synagogue Cemetery, Monticello, NY. The family will sit Shiva at her home in Monroe Township.
